Honda CR-V maintenance schedule

Covers: 2023 model year, US market. Last checked: 29 October 2026.

A 2023 Honda CR-V works from its Maintenance Minder, not a fixed mileage list. The Minder tracks oil life and shows what is due when it drops to 15%. Honda's outer limits are an oil change at least once a year and brake fluid at least every 3 years.

Always check your owner's manual. This page sums up the manufacturer's published schedule in our own words. Your vehicle's year, engine, country and the way you drive can all change the intervals.

Heavy use and tough conditions

Mountain driving and dusty or sooty air

Honda says slow mountain driving runs the transmission hotter, so have the fluid changed every 25,000 miles if you do that regularly. In dusty conditions the air cleaner element is replaced every 15,000 miles, and so is the dust and pollen filter if you drive mostly in cities with a lot of soot in the air.

Reset the Minder after each service

Skipping the reset gives wrong intervals, according to Honda. A dealer resets it after the work. If someone else does the service, you reset it yourself.

Regional differences

This is the US schedule from Honda. Canadian cars and other markets have their own manuals, so check the one for your country and year.

This page covers the 2023 CR-V as described in Honda's US Maintenance Minder document. The CR-V Hybrid and other model years may differ. Honda's document gives no fixed mileage for the main services, so neither do we.

How to track this in Loggy

Loggy is a free maintenance logbook app for iOS and Android. Because Honda's Minder works on oil life and not mileage, a logbook shows you how far your oil really lasts. Add your CR-V, log every service with the odometer reading and receipt, and set a yearly reminder as a backstop for the 12-month oil limit.

The free plan has unlimited vehicles, reminders, PDF export and vehicle transfer, and no ads.
