JLG ES scissor lift maintenance schedule

Covers: JLG 1930ES, 2030ES, 2630ES, 2646ES and 3246ES electric scissor lifts, from JLG service and maintenance manual 3121166 (November 2013). Last checked: 2 November 2026.

JLG's service manual for these electric scissor lifts does not use one service every X hours. It sets out five inspection levels: daily, weekly, every 100 hours (3 months), every 200 hours (6 months) and every 400 hours (1 year). Daily checks cover the controls, battery fluid, rails and arms. Weekly checks look for leaks, wear and loose wheels. The deeper wear checks and lubrication come at 200 and 400 hours, and the hydraulic filter is annual.

Always check your owner's manual. This page sums up the manufacturer's published schedule in our own words. Your vehicle's year, engine, country and the way you drive can all change the intervals.

Heavy use and tough conditions

Annual inspection and dealer inspections

JLG's manual says it requires a complete annual inspection, done using its Annual Machine Inspection Report form. It also says the machine needs periodic safety and maintenance inspections by a JLG dealer, and to tell the dealer if one is overdue.

Climate and use

JLG says the intervals can vary with climate, conditions, location and how the machine is used. The manual gives no separate severe-use figures.

Regional differences

This is JLG's schedule for these electric scissor lifts in one manual (3121166, November 2013). JLG publishes other manuals for other scissor models and later serial numbers, and local rules on lift inspections differ from place to place. Use the manual for your exact model and serial number.

This page covers the ES scissor lifts named above, built before serial numbers 0200239382 and B200020297. It does not cover boom lifts, telehandlers, other scissor ranges (such as the R-series or LSS) or later ES builds. It also leaves out the detailed procedures behind each check, so use JLG's service manual for those.

How to track this in Loggy

Frequently asked questions

How often does a JLG ES scissor lift need servicing?

JLG's manual for these lifts sets five inspection levels: daily, weekly, every 100 hours (3 months), every 200 hours (6 months) and every 400 hours (1 year). The hydraulic filter is listed as annual.

What should be checked on a scissor lift every day?

For these JLG models, the daily list covers the controllers, switches, placards and control tags, handrails and chains, scissor arms, safety props, pivot pins, the battery fluid level and a secure-fitting check of the hydraulic parts, wheels and steering.

Does JLG give an oil change interval for these lifts?

The inspection table lists a hydraulic oil tank fluid level and structural check every 200 hours (6 months) and the hydraulic filter as annual. It does not give a separate hours figure for changing the hydraulic oil, so check the manual for your model.

Do all JLG scissor lifts share this schedule?

No. This is the schedule in one manual for the ES models listed, built before the serial numbers on this page. Other models and later builds have their own manuals.
